Eric and team were a joy to work with on our basement finishing project. Though our project took longer than expected due to the pandemic, Eric made sure our project was fully completed to our satisfaction. We really appreciated Eric's ability to m... anage all of the different vendors that were utilized to finish our basement, this saved us a lot of time and effort. In addition, when certain aspects of the project did not meet Eric's high standards he worked to make it right. He takes a lot of pride in his finished product and it shows. Our family is really enjoying our new basement, it brings my wife and I joy to see our kids hanging out in it. It was worth it! The pandemic caused a delay in our basement project, but we held out for Eric's availability and never regretted it. We needed a basement apartment for my son, who is now an adult living with us. From our first 4-hour meeting with Er... ic about what we needed, He listened well and provided all the information we requested--talking through all of our wants, needs and desires for the basement area. Once we decided to go with Eric's company EBCON Services, each step of the process was explained well and executed efficiently. Eric stayed in touch with us at every turn as the work began. My husband and I were working from home during the construction, and our days were pleasantly punctuated by hammering, sawing, and occasionally singing as the workers rocked out to their favorite music. We even enjoyed their goofiness and being silly on Friday afternoons. Our project lasted 8 to 9 months and we were prepared for every transition thanks to the consistent communication by Eric and his crew. The contractors that work for Eric are of the highest quality, trustworthiness, and knowledge of their trades. Eric and his crew by far are the most organized, tidy, and personable folks. Eric and Tom became a part of our family and very close to us. We often laughed at how often we were consulted about every small decision because we had asked for their highest level of involvement in the decision-making. Eric lets his customers choose how interactive they are in the project, so some might find that level to be annoying, but it meant a lot to us that Eric didn't just want to make the decision for us but that he went the extra mile to ask us what we wanted. The other unique part of our special situation is that our family is all visually impaired, Eric didn't shy or reject the fact that he had to do more describing of products, let us feel the item or explain it in a more physical sense. Our project concluded with the most beautiful basement ever. Their craftsmanship is excellent, and no negative shortcuts were taken. The products and materials used were ones that Eric would put in his own home and often had already used in the past, which we appreciated. Eric and his team did an outstanding job on our basement, which included a family room, reading area with a built-in fish tank, bar with a custom built-in wine nook, bathroom with shower and a workout area. Eric took our vision, added his expertise ... to come up with a layout, and then executed in a way that exceeded our expectations. He really has an eye for detail and knows what works, what looks good (e.g., all of the poles are seamlessly hidden behind walls). He was great to work with and we are beyond happy with the results! I can't say enough about the amazing job Ebcon did on our basement! Eric is an artist, master craftsman and a perfectionist. He worked with us on the design and turned our pretty out-of-the-box ideas into a reality. He also works YOUR job, not like s... ome contractors who you hire and then you don't see them again until they are done. Also, he makes the work area clean and tidy every time he leaves. My wife and I brought Eric into our home to help design and finish our 1200 sq ft basement. Eric led us to a design we would not have creatively envisioned on our own. He cares about the quality and end product as much (if not more than you do) an... d is very detail oriented and tidy throughout the process. We had a door that needed a bit of adjustment after the job was complete and Eric came back without asking a question and had it fixed within hours. Eric worked independently many times while we were away, always ensuring the house was looked after, locked up and secure. Very trustworthy. We highly recommend Eric. Many contractors out there that will finish your basement, though not many that specialize soley in basements.
